The most important thing in any automobile collision is the health and well-being of you and your passengers.
After any automobile collision, you should immediately:
- Contact the police department or dial 911 and, if possible, do not move the vehicles from the scene of the collision.
- Take photographs of the damages sustained to all vehicles as well as the scene of the accident.
- Get immediate care and treatment if you are injured.
- Get auto insurance information from all parties involved in the collision as well as everyone’s driver’s license and license plate numbers.
- Write down names and telephone numbers of any witnesses.
- Notify your automobile insurance company.
